In order to register we need a completed enrollment application for each child. We will need to see the child’s original birth certificate (new students only), copies of the Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form/Immunization Records, and the required application fees indicated on the enrollment application. All items must be brought to the school office to ensure class availability. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How much is your tuition?
Tuition varies based on the number of days and number of hours your child is with us. You will find the link for the fees above!
Does my child need to be Potty Trained?
Children enrolled in the 2-year-old classes do not need to be potty trained; however, children enrolled in the 3-year-old classes and higher must be potty trained.
What is your curriculum?
Bethany Early Childhood Education Center believes in the importance of teaching the whole child in God’s world, rather than just the intellectual part of the child. The spiritual, emotional, social, physical, intellectual and creative parts of the child are all equally important. If education ignores one or more of these selves, the whole child is not being educated. Bethany Early Childhood Education Center offers an exceptional Christian education and child care experience through loving and dedicated staff. We use the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum.
Do you provide snacks?
Yes. We provide a morning and afternoon snack to all children. If children are joining us for lunch, we do ask that the child bring a packed lunch and drink from home.
Do you have a Health Policy?
Yes. To help prevent the spread of illness in our school, we ask parents not to send their child if he/she has any of the following symptoms:
Fever - >100 (must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of anti-fever medication)
Diarrhea/vomiting within the last 24 hours
Any type of infection that has not been treated for 24 hours with antibiotics the doctor ordered
If any of these symptoms are noted during school or in the before or after school program, parents are contacted to pick up their child.
Is there an Emergency Action Plan?
Yes. In the event of an emergency, the following procedures will be followed:
Evacuation of Building— Children will be escorted out of the building and gathered on-site in the parking lot located across from the Church along Maple Avenue. In the event we have to go off-Site, children will be escorted to Fishburne Military School (540-946-7700) and parents/guardians will be notified once the immediate threat has passed.
Shelter-in-Place—Children will remain indoors with Exterior doors locked. Parents will be notified once the immediate threat has passed.
Medical Emergency—Individual and scene checked, notification of administration and/or 911. All staff is CPR/First Aid trained and teachers carry first aid kits and emergency call card information with them at all times.
In the event of an emergency, parent reunification will follow the same procedures as end-of- day pickup. Children will only be released to contacts listed on the child’s approved pick-up list with proper identification.
